About Me
Healing is an act of courage and liberation. Therapy can be a space to tend to our most wounded parts with compassion, care, and curiosity. As a Puerto Rican therapist, I follow a culturally-responsive/identity-affirming approach to therapy. We will work together to understand personal and societal factors that contribute to your sense of self. I often start with an exploration of needs and expectations for the therapy, modeling openness, healthy communication, transparency, and empathetic listening. Then, we can proceed in our journey of deep exploration of past events that have informed your worldview and sense of self.
I work with clients who are currently struggling with emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety, or developmental trauma related to their family of origin. During our sessions, we will lay out the foundations of work by exploring past experiences, narratives we have received about ourselves, and ways in which we have learned to cope with life stressors. My goal is to help you shift internal and unconscious patterns that are not serving you anymore and gain more self-awareness about yourself in relationships.
I look forward to embarking on this journey with you!
